Getting Prepared for the John Muir Trail in July!

So I discovered a list of things Iris and I will need for our 23 day nature extravaganza into the wild. The trip will be divided into 3 sections and it turns out we will be carrying about 33lbs of supplies in each section. So I wondered how much is 33 lbs? Can I do that for 10 miles 23 days in a row. Well check out fat cat...I think I could carry 33 lbs fat cat for 10 miles 23 days in a row. What do you think?? This doesn't include the weight of a tent though. The link below lists the supplies Iris and I will need for this trip:

The next link is our itinerary for each day of the hike. The dates need to be changed. We will start on July 7th and end around August 30th. This is a good itinerary b/c it includes the option to also climb half dome, it averages 10 miles per day, and includes 2 good resupply stops.

This is a picture of 2 people on the JMT trail. Next on the list is to create a 23 day breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. I found some good ideas for lightweight, high calorie, yummy food from this site:

dude, your trip sounds soo intense. Make sure to pack enough food! Check out the bulk dried food section at Berkeley Bowl! Chester and I had split pea soup the other day... made from dehydrated flakes lol. All you do is add water haha
