Picture: Nelson, New Zealand. Town where I'll set up camp.
Things to look forward to on the journey ahead....
- I'll get a guide to take me on crazy mountain hikes all over New Zealand. Hearing the guides exciting stories about the land will be exciting.
- I'll get to make jewelry made out of bone, go horseback riding, and learn to paint! Maybe even learn how to play a musical instrament.
- I'm also excited to go back in time! New Zealand is an island out in the middle of nowhere. It develops to much slower than other places my friend said when he was there 10 years ago it was the 60's there so when I go I'll be living in the 70's! No wonder my sister came back with dreadlocks!
- They love to do triathlons there. Maybe this will be my time to complete one! But the swimming? ahhh that's such a hurdle...I'm like a flystruggling to make it's way through the water.
- I'll get to learn all about the people there. I can't wait to find out what they believe in, what they look like, the types of food they tend to eat, what religion they believe in, what they find most important in life, what they do on a daily basis, what they dress like etc. It's all very intriguing!
- It's a change of pace..different people, different scenery...a whole new life in a whole new world! My expectations are big. I'm hoping I will find a beautiful place filled with friendly people, sunny weather, beautiful scenery, lots to do, and people who are moving at a much slower pace.
The bad....
- Leaving my wonderful friends who give me so much everyday behind!
- There are so many other things I will have to live without...
- The internet in the morning. How will I watch my comedy in the morning?
- A wonderful boyfriend who always has time for me
- My own room
- My meditation sessions
- My mom and family
Hmm, probably more, but lets not cross that bridge just yet!
