Regaining "badass" status

First of all, yours truly has been accepted for the position of Greenlining Institute Summer Associate!!!! Not only am I 100000 times more relieved from graduation anxiety, I am super excited for the things I'm going to be doing!! Woohoo!!! Yet, the job search continues as the program ends in mid August (I'm hoping to hear back from the Olympic committee but the chances of that are probably 1 in a billion). Until I heard from Greenlining today, I was seriously contemplating all sorts of jobs including working for Oaksterdam.

I've undertaken also a video project for the United Nations Association East Bay (dragging the rest of the Media Academy into this as well... or Joel at least) and today, besides a massive headache and a sound film quiz, I would say its been alright.
This weekend I...
1) attended my brother's "Top 8 (schools) Track Invitational" at Logan Highschool in Union City (he came in 3rd for the 200 meter) and I froze to death because of the windchill
2) did filming for the VSA (vietnamese student association) culture show. Here is a view from where I was in Zellerbach.

Here's another terrible picture from the culture show:

3) Attended my grandma's going away dinner. I'm kinda sad she's not going to stay for my graduation. She should realize that I'm the center of her universe.

As a last note, check out the new media team website: http://greenlining.org/sections/view/gma

see if you can find me. We're all pushing for a rearrangement of the pictures-- for example, moving the Beverly Hills 90210 pose picture to the top and making it bigger etc. I think Joel looks like a mime.

Hey girl!!! i am so happy for you!! That is awesome!! Not only do you have a job after graduation it's a job your stoked on!! Hurray!!! Now you dont have to join the peace corps. haha. j/k. Thats in referance to the fact that many people don't know quite what to do after graduation so they join the Peace Corps. But your a green lining girl now. Hurray! Your photos look badass and very artsy. Mine would be blak.

Your brother got 3rd in the 800. shit, that's awesome. I would just be happy to actually make it to the finish line. I think that's the hardest race to run in track and field. I did the 300 hurdles...which were about as challenging b/c you honestly could not pick your legs up you were so tired...but you had to jump over waste high hurdles in this dragging condition. It was complete hell everytime...again I ask myself...why did I do track again?

neway, hmie I am so happy for you. You'll have to tell me the details of the job when we catch up. :)
