Since the death of finals

12.20.07
So after my last final (avant-garde), I, armed with two huge bags of home grown persimmons, I set out for my last UN meeting of the year. You guys all know how I spent literally half the semester begging people to take my persimmons which accumulated progressively in Trader Joe paper bags in our room. Our family has given them away by the bushel...

bush·el1 [boosh-uhl] –noun
1.a unit of dry measure containing 4 pecks, equivalent in the U.S. (and formerly in England) to 2150.42 cubic inches or 35.24 liters (Winchester bushel), and in Great Britain to 2219.36 cubic inches or 36.38 liters (Imperial bushel). Abbreviation: bu., bush.

...we've dried them in batches (they're actually pretty good after you sprinkle some powdered sugar on top),

we've made pudding, we've had them in fruit salads, we've had them raw etc etc. I feel as if my life has been taken over by persimmons. And we STILL have bags full of them left.

Anyway, I was pretty stressed out after the meeting and so I headed down to Bar Cesar's in North Berkeley to meet up with Chester, Nate, Emi, and Amanda for some paradoxical detoxification.

Greenlining! Final Cut Pro training with my main man Joel. or "Ho-elle" as everyone calls him now. Its more ethnic that way. Met up with Chris Tapia who has been MIA because he's been in Bolivia. See, Chris was always a sexy sexy man but this time he looked GOOD. His response to his loss of poundage? "I'm trying a new diet plan--its called starvation," he told me.

My Boys

and the very first planning picture from my Europe trip!

This is us deciding on what train to take from Frankfurt to Venice. Mmmmmm.

Ran errands. Went shopping. Contrary to what people may think, shopping is NOT fun when you have a million items on your list. I am also way too picky.

12.23.07
Had to drop my parents off at the Oakland airport because they were going to Vegas so we decided to open presents early. I received, from my parents, a large jar of Korean orange marmalade. Nothing says I love you more than jam.

Later on, went to Berkeley, shopped in SF for a coat with Chester and his friends Betty and Forest. No luck but I did fall in love with this beautiful Mackage winter coat: Note: This model is too skinny and the coat looks awesomer on me! Too bad it was out of my $ range. This made me sad to the extreme.
Afterwards we had dinner with Chester's friend Adam and his wife at this place called Little Sichuan in San Mateo. Now Chester's 3 best guy friends' wives are all due around the same time next year. Talk about coincidences. Chester, of course, has fathered a multitude of children in his lifetime too. Too many, in fact, to count. I'm only with him because he writes my political science papers.

Christmas in the park in San Jose (its a San Jose tradition) with Chester after meeting him at the Hedley Club at Hotel DeAnza. There are way better pictures on his site though.

Yes sir we rode it!

12.25.07

Spent Christmas at my uncle's house but not before baking a orange/lemon "meringue" pie with my sister.

Mines the one on the left.

I could go into detail about Christmas and what we did/ate/talked about but I really don't feel like it.

Shit. I need to pack

hey homie! It sounds like you've been busy! I love that your family got you jam. You can use that for your fabulous peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I got your call yesterday when I was in the middle of changing. I too went to the mall the day after x-mas.
I'll call ya soon!

I can barely write my own papers. And I can barely tolerate other people's children...
